An alternative……..

I’m sure that many of you will have heard about the latest CITES regulations, as quite a few of my instruments get exported; it got me thinking about alternative materials.

Apart from wood, I know some countries are fussy about pearl or abalone, so I thought that I’d experiment with aluminium for inlays on an electric mandolin that’s coming up soon.

I cut out this rather extreme N logo and inlaid it to some walnut-  quite a satisfactory outcome!
